The Office of the Vice President of Research and Economic Development has funded access to the lightning supercomputer, http://www.it.iastate.edu/research/hpcp, to support research, especially the research of new faculty and staff. Trial grants will be given for 15,000 CPU hours of time. Disk storage of 160GB of permanent storage and access to 2 TB of shared scratch storage is included while the grant is in effect.
